After the exchange of goods, a fleeting moment of interaction, the delivery agent — later identified as Harish Kumar, 26, from Meerut — reportedly tried to force a kiss on her. Imagine the shock, the immediate invasion of personal space and, frankly, the sheer audacity of such an act. But this young woman, 26 years old and residing in World Spa West, she didn't freeze. Not for a second, really.

She fought back. She pushed him, hard. She raised an alarm, a scream perhaps, or a forceful shout that echoed in the quiet evening. And just like that, the perpetrator, his attempt thwarted, fled into the night. It was a terrifying ordeal, no doubt, but her quick thinking, her refusal to be a victim, was crucial.

Immediately after, shaken but resolute, she reached out to the police. A First Information Report (FIR) was promptly registered at the Sector 65 police station under IPC section 354, which, for those unfamiliar, deals with assault or criminal force to a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty. Inspector Jaiprakash, the Station House Officer, later confirmed these details, painting a picture of a rapid and serious response.

The police, credit where it’s due, acted swiftly. Leveraging the digital trail left by the delivery app, they were able to identify Harish Kumar. By Saturday, less than 24 hours after the terrifying incident, he was apprehended. And, in a development that, for once, brings a sliver of resolution to such a distressing tale, he reportedly confessed to his actions. He was then produced in court and subsequently sent to judicial custody.
