Then, after what must have felt like an eternity, came the good news. Chesney was spotted! And, thankfully, safely returned to his enclosure, none the worse for wear after his grand adventure. It’s a huge relief for everyone involved, especially for those who care for him day in and day out.

While his brief taste of freedom certainly kept everyone on their toes, it's clear Chesney's daring escape will be a story told for years to come. It just goes to show, you can never underestimate the spirit of an animal determined to explore. And perhaps, just perhaps, the petting zoo might be considering a slightly taller, or maybe even an electrified, fence for their resident escape artist in the future!
