Sunday Showers Loom Over New Hampshire – Forecast Details

Hayley LaPoint, WMIR’s meteorologist, notes that a modest storm system will roll across the state on Sunday, bringing a mix of light showers that will thicken into steadier rain by the afternoon.

Most of southern New Hampshire looks set for the heaviest rain, with a chance of brief downpours as the clouds hug the ground in the evening. Meanwhile, the rest of the state will experience scattered showers that are more occasional than torrential.

Temperatures won’t be much help either – the high will only reach the low‑50s, which feels unusually cool for mid‑September. Overnight lows will dip into the 40s, especially Saturday night as clouds linger.

Come Monday, the lingering cloud cover should clear out, giving way to bright, sunny skies and a welcome rebound in temperature. Expect highs to climb back into the 60s, a noticeable change after the chilly Sunday.

Tuesday will continue the pleasant trend with a mix of sun and a few scattered clouds, keeping the mercury in the 60‑degree range. The rest of the workweek should stay similar – plenty of sunshine, comfortable temperatures, and minimal rain.
