LAS VEGAS (AP) — Jarrett Stidham is no stranger to being the bench warmer for high-profile quarterbacks, his experience with the Las Vegas Raiders last year proves that. Now he faces a similar situation at the conclusion of Denver Broncos' season. As history repeats itself, Stidham is preparing to return to Las Vegas to play the Raiders with the Broncos on Sunday, in a season finale for both teams. Stidham, who had developed significant relationships during his stay in Las Vegas, is excited to face his past teammates. Despite his 0-2 track record in Las Vegas with 365 yards and three touchdown passes in a 37-34 loss, Broncos coach Sean Payton asserted that Stidham’s first start against a robust defense made many take notice. Back in Denver after a successful match with the Kansas City Chiefs, Stidham has some tricks up his sleeve to deal with Raiders' cornerback Nate Hobbs. The Broncos may have failed to extend their playoff streak to eight years, but they have managed to break some AFC West losing streaks, and now aim to end their seven game losing streak to the Raiders with their first victory in Las Vegas in four attempts. Win number nine would prove important for the Broncos, as it would end their streak of non-winning seasons since 2016. Davis Adams, the Raiders' wide receiver, has crossed 1,000 yards of receiving in the past four seasons but doesn’t see it as a significant achievement, especially since the Raiders are not in a playoff position. Meanwhile, Maxx Crosby, the Raiders' defensive end, was awarded the Commitment to Excellence Award for the third consecutive year by his team. Crosby, who has an impressive record of 21 tackles for loss and 88 tackles besides rarely leaving the field even with a lingering knee injury, has been praised by Stidham for his hard work and consistent performance. Denver's cornerback, Pat Surtain II, received the Demaryius Thomas Team MVP Award. Garett Bolles, the left tackle and longest-tenured offensive player in Denver, having blocked for 13 different quarterbacks in his seven seasons, expressed frustration but remained committed to his duty.
