Oklahoma State QB Bowman granted 7th college season

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — The NCAA has approved a waiver request for Oklahoma State quarterback Alan Bowman, granting him a seventh year of eligibility. Bowman played for Texas Tech in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 seasons, before moving to Michigan in 2021 and 2022. His 2023 season was spent at Oklahoma State. According to Oklahoma State's senior associate athletics director for compliance, Ben Dyson, Bowman qualified for a prolonging of eligibility due to a season-ending injury suffered in 2019 and his subsequent redshirt status at the University of Michigan. Dyson expressed his gratitude to the training staff at Texas Tech for providing the necessary documentation to expedite the waiver request. This season saw the Cowboys finish with a 10-4 record, even making it to the Big 12 title game. Furthermore, Bowman's 2023 season is considered one of the best in Oklahoma State's history, with him ranking seventh in passing yards (3,460), fourth in pass completions (304), and tenth in total offense (3,484 yards) during a Texas Bowl victory over Texas A&M.
