Shreyas Talpade credits wife Deepti for a second chance at life, shares, 'I was dead for...'

The seasoned actor shared a disconcerting experience he underwent on December 14th, 2023, while working on the set of the action-packed film, Welcome to the Jungle. Despite feeling drained after non-stop shooting, the actor pushed through his difficulty until the end. However, upon reaching his car post wrap-up, he experienced a sharp pain in his left arm. Sensing this as a possible warning sign, he decided to check on his wife before proceeding to the hospital. Unfortunately, he began experiencing facial numbness and collapsed before reaching medical assistance, Shreyas described.

By the time the actor arrived at the hospital, he was clinically dead, with his heart having stopped momentarily. Thanks to rapid medical intervention, including CPR and defibrillation, the doctors were able to resuscitate him.

Slipping in and out of consciousness, he reported being aware only because his wife, Deepti, showed quick thinking in that grueling situation. Shreyas voices his gratitude to his wife for her role in his miraculous resurrection.

Upon regaining consciousness, the revered Makdee actor expressed his remorse to his wife, Deepti, for adding to her emotional turmoil. He recounts sharing a heartfelt smile with the medical team for reviving him.

The actor, who was given another lease on life, urges everyone to pay keen attention to their health, stressing that no bodily warning, however minor, should be neglected.
