Pawan Kalyan Battles Viral Fever, Postpones Amaravati Charge Amidst Health Concerns

Andhra Pradesh's charismatic Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, is currently battling a viral fever, a setback that has unfortunately led to the postponement of his much-anticipated visit to Amaravati, where he was slated to officially assume his ministerial duties. The actor-turned-politician, a pivotal figure in the state's new government, is presently undergoing treatment in Hyderabad, prioritising his health before embarking on his crucial responsibilities.

Originally scheduled for Monday, June 24, his official takeover ceremony, which included assuming charge of key portfolios such as Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Environment, Forests, and Science & Technology, has been put on hold.

This delay, while minor, highlights the intense schedule Kalyan has maintained, especially during the gruelling election campaigns and the subsequent complex negotiations that led to the formation of the new alliance government.

Sources close to the Janasena party, which Kalyan leads, confirmed his ill health.

Janasena Political Affairs Committee (PAC) Chairman, Nadendla Manohar, released a statement acknowledging the Deputy CM's condition and the necessity of his rest and treatment. Kalyan himself conveyed his deep regret for the postponement, assuring the public and his colleagues that he would join his duties in Amaravati as soon as his health permits.
