Operation Guddar: Two Terrorists Neutralized, Three Soldiers Injured in Intense Kulgam Encounter

In a significant security operation dubbed 'Operation Guddar', security forces successfully neutralized two terrorists following a fierce encounter in the Hadigam area of Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir. The intense gun battle, which unfolded on Sunday, also regrettably resulted in injuries to three brave soldiers who were valiantly engaging the adversaries.

The joint operation, meticulously planned and executed, involved the collaborative efforts of the Indian Army, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Acting on specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence of terrorists in the Hadigam locality, a cordon and search operation was launched in the early hours.

As the security forces tightened their cordon around the suspected hideout, the holed-up terrorists opened indiscriminate fire, attempting to break free.

This provoked a swift and decisive retaliatory action from the security personnel, leading to a prolonged exchange of fire. During the intense gunfight, two terrorists were successfully eliminated.

While the operation achieved its primary objective of neutralizing the threats, three personnel from the security forces sustained injuries in the line of duty.

They were immediately evacuated from the encounter site and rushed to a nearby medical facility for advanced treatment. Their condition is being closely monitored.

Following the conclusion of the active encounter, extensive search operations were initiated across the Hadigam area to ensure that no other terrorists were present and to recover any incriminating material or weapons left behind.
