New Hampshire's Weekend Weather: From Serene Friday to Soggy Sunday!

Looking out the window, or just stepping outside, you'll notice it’s shaping up to be a pretty decent Friday across much of the Granite State. We're seeing a lovely mix of sunshine and those fluffy, fair-weather clouds drifting by. Temperatures this afternoon are actually going to be quite pleasant, climbing into the mid-60s for most of us, maybe even touching 70 degrees in a few southern spots. It’s just one of those classic, comfortable fall days that really makes you want to get out and enjoy it, perhaps a stroll or just soaking up some rays.

As we head into our Friday evening and overnight, things stay fairly quiet, which is always good news, right? Expect mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will dip down, as they always do this time of year, into the low to mid-40s. A little bit of a crisp chill in the air, but nothing too severe – perfect for cozying up indoors. No real concerns about any significant fog or anything like that developing, so travel should remain smooth.

Now, let’s talk about your weekend plans, because that’s often what folks are most curious about! Saturday looks like a mixed bag, to be honest. We’ll start off fairly nice, much like Friday, with sunshine making a decent appearance, especially in the morning. But don’t get too comfortable, because as the afternoon progresses, clouds are definitely on the increase from west to east. We're keeping a close eye on a system that’s approaching, and it looks like scattered showers could begin to pop up, particularly late in the day or into Saturday evening, primarily across the western and northern parts of the state.

Sunday, unfortunately, is shaping up to be the wetter day of the weekend. That system I mentioned? It really starts to dig in.
