J&K Jal Shakti Minister Drives Urgent Water Supply Restoration Across Jammu

Jammu and Kashmir's commitment to ensuring uninterrupted potable water supply was prominently underscored recently as the Jal Shakti Minister spearheaded a comprehensive review of water supply restoration measures and ongoing projects across the entire Jammu region. The review specifically targeted the status of water supply across all ten districts of the Jammu division – Jammu, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Poonch, and Rajouri. Officials were instructed to maintain a vigilant watch over the ground situation, ensuring that every household receives its due share of clean drinking water, especially as the region approaches the colder months.

A significant portion of the discussion revolved around the progress of projects under the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), which aims to provide Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC) to every rural household.
