Fox NFL’s Curt Menefee joining ‘Good Day New York’ as co host

Curt Menefee, the main NFL presenter for Fox, plans to broaden his scope by emulating Michael Strahan and taking on a daily morning show role, co-hosting Fox 5's "Good Day New York". Still holding onto his Fox NFL Sunday anchor position, Menefee will relocate to New York, making weekend trips to Los Angeles during the NFL season. He will work alongside Rosanna Scotto on "Good Day". Always having an interest in the diverse world of morning TV, Menefee, 58, shared with The Post. His schedule during the NFL season will be Tuesday to Friday, then a complete week during the offseason. Bianca Peters, Scotto's previous co-host, will transition to Fox 5's noon and 6 p.m. slots. Back in the mid to late 1990s, when Menefee was working as a sports anchor on Fox 5’s 10 p.m. news show, Scotto held one of the news anchor positions. Menefee, a "news nerd" and recent 2022 graduate with a Master's degree in Public Policy & Administration from Northwestern, looked to Strahan for advice on juggling the additional role. Strahan, a veteran of ABC’s "Good Morning America", along with the Fox NFL team, is quite familiar with balancing multiple roles and travels via a corporate jet, which Menefee hopes to share in. Menefee joked, "It is like one of those things when you see players and they always refer to the owner as ‘Mr.,’ ‘Mr. Jones,’”—adding he will now address him as Mr. Strahan to acknowledge his respect and his desire to join him on that plane.
