Xgimi launches its brightest projector yet, hides another inside a ceiling lamp

Xgimi, a well-known electronics brand, has launched two high-performance projectors for the US market - their brightest 4K smart projector coupled with a 3-in-1 device that functions as a ceiling light, Bluetooth speaker, and projector. Both devices run on Google TV. According to the company, the 4K Horizon Max projector possesses a light output of 3,100 ISO Lumens, which is produced from the built-in "Dual Light 2.0" laser and LED hybrid light source. The Horizon Max has corrected a previous issue of 27% brightness reduction, after settling a lawsuit with Epson. Special features include a strong contrast ratio (2000:1), exceptional color accuracy, and DTS audio support, contributing to a high performance. The 4K Horizon Max can also automatically identify the best projection area on your wall and stores your preferences. The device introduces a smart feature, Intelligent Screen Adaptation (v5.0) technology that recognizes different wall settings and can switch modes between gaming and movie viewing accordingly. Xgimi's Aladdin, based on technology acquired through the purchase of Japanese firm Popin, is a ceiling light projector that can be affixed directly to your already installed light socket. This projector can project images up to 100 inches at 1080P (1920 x 1080) resolution. The built-in lamp can be operated via the projector remote or the Xgimi App. Additionally, it includes Harman Kardon speakers for 360-degree sound output. Both projectors shift from Android TV to Google TV, allowing users to use Netflix right out of the box, which is a significant advantage for people uncomfortable with Netflix's complex certification process. Xgimi has not revealed the final prices and exact release dates but indicates that the Horizon Max is expected to retail for under $3,000 and will be available in late 2024.
