Delhi University's Democratic Pulse: DUSU Elections Kick Off with High Stakes and Tight Security

The corridors of Delhi University are once again pulsating with democratic energy as the much-anticipated Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) elections for 2023 have officially commenced. After a three-year hiatus, largely due to the global pandemic, students are enthusiastically heading to polling booths, ready to elect their representatives for the prestigious student body.

Voting began sharply at 8:30 AM on Friday, September 22, and is scheduled to continue until 1:00 PM for morning colleges, with evening colleges casting their ballots from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

A colossal 2.8 lakh students are eligible to participate in this vibrant democratic exercise, shaping the future of student governance in one of India's premier educational institutions.

Ensuring a free, fair, and secure election, authorities have implemented stringent security measures across all 52 colleges and departments serving as polling centres.
