The joint team, comprising personnel from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the vigilant 170th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), had been meticulously carrying out an anti-Maoist operation. Their dedication paid off, albeit in a somber way. Following the intense exchange of fire, the area was thoroughly searched, a standard procedure, of course, to ensure no lingering threats and to gather crucial evidence. And indeed, what they found confirmed the outcome: the lifeless bodies of two male Maoists.
