Ariana Grande disclosed on Sunday morning that the primary single from her much-anticipated seventh studio album, which she recently confirmed has been completed, will be out this Friday. Allegedly titled "Yes, And?," this song seems to evolve from Grande's semi-autobiographical single and album from 2019, "Thank You, Next.” Though the vocalist has made appearances on numerous chart-topping singles in the past few years, such as the Weeknd's renditions of "Save Your Tears" and "Die for You," she hasn't debuted an album or single under her own label since "Positions" in October 2020, her sixth album.
Presently, Grande is engaged with Universal's cinematic version of the popular Broadway musical "Wicked," slated for November. In quieter news, she parted ways with her longtime manager Scooter Braun and is currently represented by Brandon Creed, who also manages Lovato, Troye Sivan, Charli XCX, Mark Ronson, and others.
Instagram posts from Grande last year hinted at her seventh album collaboration with tried-and-tested musical allies Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh, which she punctuated with muted videos of her singing in-studio without any snippets. Finally, on December 27, she confirmed that the album will be released later this year with the caption hinting at an earlier release. The posts included pictures of her dancing and crying in the studio, clarifying that the two moods embodied her feelings towards the upcoming album: exhausted yet happy and thankful. Further updates on Grande's album will be provided by Variety as they arise.
