Is peace finally on the table? Reuters reports comments from the Swiss President Viola Amherd who says that Ukrainian President Zelensky has asked Switzerland to organize a high level peace conference. Amherd is holding a joint press conference with Zelensky. Obviously, Russia needs to be part of this peace conference for it to have any real meaning but this might be the beginning of the end of this war. Be careful with these early headlines but my inclination would be that this would certainly be bullish for the ruble but peace would also benefit all of Europe.
