Shirtless fan slides down snow trough at Bills’ stadium during cleanup for playoff game

Snow may have forced the NFL to push back the Bills wild card showdown with the Steelers, but Bills Mafia kept the playoff spirit alive Sunday. As the Bills have been known to do, they asked the local community for help shoveling out Highmark Stadium in preparation for Monday’s game after the region was hit with a blizzard.

Naturally, Bills fans — known to be quite the spirited bunch — have been having a bit of fun with the task of shoveling and the videos have been going viral. One fan who helped out with the cleanup ditched the shirt he was wearing and attempted to slide down a tube that was being used to move snow from different sections in the stadium.

The bare chested fan jumped on it aggressively, almost falling over, and then pushed himself down the slide toward the bottom. He waved his shirt in the air as he reached the bottom and then hopped off. Snow from seats goes in the trough so it can be pushed out onto the field and it can be hauled/pushed away.

The frightful weather already dumped nine inches of snow on the ground by 8 a.m.

Sunday morning, and Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz described Orchard Park as “no man’s land” due to the snow, according to the Buffalo News . The bad weather led to the postponement of Sunday’s scheduled game between the Bills and the Steelers, which led to some criticism from some football fans.

However, Gov. Kathy Hochul expressed no regrets about the decision to push the game until Monday at 4:30 p.m. “We’ll be able to handle the game much better on Monday,” she told WGRZ TV. The rescheduled game will be part of a Monday doubleheader , which starts with the Bills and Steelers and also features the Eagles and Buccaneers at 8:15 p.m..
