Sayaji Shinde: It was difficult to judge Abhishek

Actor Sayaji Shinde often assesses a director during the storytelling session before signing a project. However, his experience with Abhishek Chaubey was different as he couldn't judge Chaubey due to the engaging script of the crime-comedy series. Shinde, who has a significant body of work in Hindi and Marathi films, was particularly drawn to the depth of the series' script, which exceeded his expectations. He was also fascinated by its characters and found himself contemplating them even after the script narration. Shinde and Manoj Bajpayee star as the scheming Shetty brothers in the Netflix series, with Konkona Sensharma playing the former's wife. Reconnecting with Bajpayee, his co-star in Shool (1999) and Road (2002), was also an attraction for Shinde. Shinde praised the exceptional quality of the script and appreciated Bajpayee’s involvement, expressing his anticipation at the filming process despite its challenges. Even after over three decades in the industry, Shinde retains a strong interest in stories, focusing on the director, narrative, and scene. Simultaneously maintaining a balanced personal and professional life helps enhance an actor's career lifespan, according to Shinde. He enjoys exploring forests, hills, and interacting with hard-working locals during his time off to stay grounded.
