Submarine drive

"Pierre, a Parisian, queried about his upcoming visit to Mumbai before heading to Palolem Beach in Goa, referring to Lonely Planet’s suggestion to visit the Hanging Gardens and the Queen's Necklace. However, I informed him that the Hanging Gardens are currently closed for refurbishment for the next seven years. Pierre then asked about Marine Drive, fascinated by its acclaimed beauty.

I explained that Marine Drive would soon transform from a six-lane road into a ‘transport arena’. I explained it as akin to a theme park like Disney World, where various transportation methods are available to choose from. The iconic Coastal Road will be reduced to a single lane and will boast a subterranean road beginning in the middle of the road. The entrance portal to the subterranean journey will be marked by vintage steel structures.

Parallel to this road, at Charni Road, lies a newly excavated metro subway station that will provide express journeys. A nearby aquarium is soon to be converted into a children's underwater snorkelling pool showcasing exotic marine life.

When Pierre asked about the seemingly incomplete bridges off Marine Drive, I told him about the ambitious future plan to connect these into a network of freeways resembling Shanghai’s intricate structures. Adventurous visitors can participate in activities like diving and bungee jumping off these semi-constructed bridges.

As for air travel, I have proposed to the Maharashtra government to build an international airport in South Mumbai, called the 'Marine Drive International Airport.' This would complement the upcoming airport in Navi Mumbai and make travel more convenient for South Mumbai residents."
