Russian Air Defense Thwarts Massive Overnight Drone Barrage

In a significant demonstration of its defensive capabilities, Russia's air defense systems successfully neutralized a formidable wave of 54 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) across multiple regions during a single night. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the extensive interception operation, highlighting the vigilance and effectiveness of its forces against persistent aerial threats.

The widespread drone assault targeted eight Russian regions and the Crimean Peninsula, marking one of the largest concentrated drone attacks reported in recent times.

Regions including Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Moscow, Tula, Rostov, Belgorod, and Oryol all reported attempts by Ukrainian UAVs to breach Russian airspace, alongside targets in Crimea.

According to the official statement from the Ministry of Defense, the majority of the incoming drones were brought down over the Bryansk region, where a substantial number of these aerial vehicles were intercepted.
