Brian, a beloved son, brother, husband, and uncle, was a true Portland native, born on October 14, 1964, to the late John J. and Janet L. (Duddy) Giglio. His vibrant spirit and generous heart touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Brian's roots ran deep in Portland, where he attended local schools and proudly graduated from Portland High School in the Class of 1982.
His professional life was marked by dedication and loyalty, as he devoted 38 remarkable years to Unum. Throughout his tenure, he excelled in various roles, including analyst and project manager, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
Beyond his professional commitments, Brian was a man who embraced life with fervor.
An ardent sports enthusiast, he showcased his athletic prowess in baseball and football during his high school years. His love for sports continued well into adulthood, where he actively participated in softball, bowling, golf, and flag football. He was a dedicated and vocal fan, passionately cheering for his favorite teams: the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtics, and the Miami Hurricanes.
Brian's adventurous spirit also led him to explore the world, with Aruba holding a special place in his heart as a cherished travel destination.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a large and loving family of uncles and aunts: Raymond Giglio, Richard and Nancy Giglio, Robert and Beverly Giglio, Eleanor and Frank Giglio, Margaret Duddy, Theresa and William Duddy, Edward and Barbara Duddy, Helen and Arthur Duddy, Jean Duddy; and his special cousin, Daniel Giglio.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visiting hours on Thursday, September 19, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Ave., Portland. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Brian’s life will be held on Friday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St., Portland. Following the Mass, Brian will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Brian’s memory to the American Heart Association, 51 US Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074, continuing his legacy of care and compassion.
