Power Play Unfolds: Ghaziabad Corporation Elects Pivotal Executive Committee

In a significant stride for local governance, the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has successfully elected its 12-member executive committee, an assembly crucial for steering the city's developmental trajectory. The high-stakes election, conducted through a meticulous secret ballot, saw robust participation from 110 eligible voters, including 100 corporators and 10 ex-officio members, all keen to shape the corporation's future.

The results, declared with anticipation, showcased a clear mandate, primarily favoring the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The ruling party clinched a formidable nine seats out of the twelve, demonstrating its strong hold and influence within the corporation. This victory positions the BJP to drive its agenda forward with considerable authority in the coming term.

Among the triumphant BJP candidates who will now play pivotal roles in the executive committee are Pushpa, Reena Rani, Vinod Jatav, Satish Chauhan, Ashok Nagar, Ankit Sharma, Poonam Devi, Rakesh Sharma, and Sangeeta Chaudhary.

Their election underscores the party's widespread support across various wards of Ghaziabad.

While the BJP celebrated its dominant win, the democratic process also ensured representation from other political factions and independent voices. The Congress party secured one seat, with Mayank Choudhary emerging victorious.

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) also made its presence felt, with Jagat Singh earning a place on the committee. Adding to the diverse composition, Neetu Singh was elected as an independent candidate, bringing an unaligned perspective to the crucial decision-making body.

The election proceedings were meticulously overseen by Mayor Sunita Dayal, who ensured a fair and transparent process.
