Photos: Three Kings Day celebrated in Bay Area, around the world

On Saturday, Jan. 6, families all over the world marked the end of the Christmas season with various celebratory events known as Three Kings Day (Dia de Los Reyes), Little Christmas, and the Feast of the Epiphany. The Peralta Hacienda Historical Park in Oakland hosted its yearly fiesta complete with live music, Rosca de Reyes (Three Kings Bread), and Mexican hot chocolate. Children got busy crafting and adorning crowns, also receiving a complimentary toy. San Jose's Children’s Discovery Museum celebrated its quarter-century event, offering children fun activities like crown crafting. A trio personifying the three kings went around the guests, distributing chocolate coin presents. In Venezuela, traditional go kart races, referred to as carruchas, took place. Bronx children queued for gift items such as toys and attire. Lithuania featured a public procession, while in Hartford, Connecticut, the march incorporated participants garbed as the Three Wise Men atop camels.
