The New York Jets snapped a 15 game losing streak to the New England Patriots in Week 18, coming away with a 17 3 in the snow to close out the 2023 regular season. Offensive spotlight: Breece Hall was once again the best player on offense in a Jets game, carrying the ball a massive 37 times for 178 yards and a score against New England.
He averaged more than 3.0 yards per carry, tallied four explosive runs and broke four tackles on the ground. He also caught both passes thrown his way, moving the chains on one of the two receptions. Defensive spotlight: The Jets' pass rush was too much for the Patriots' offensive line for most of the game, particularly on critical downs.
Quinnen Williams and Bryce Huff each notched multiple significant wins in high leverage situations to ensure the Patriots were never really able to move the ball consistently and challenge for the win. Rookie spotlight: Jake Andrews and Sidy Sow started along the Patriots' offensive line and played solidly enough.
Each player performed well in pass protection and wasn't a liability as a run blocker. Demario Douglas was also the team’s No. 1 receiver, seeing five targets but coming up with only two catches for 13 yards..
