The Cincinnati Bengals ended the season with a 31 14 win over the Cleveland Browns at home on Sunday afternoon. The Bengals opened the scoring on a Joe Mixon one yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter and made it 14 0 five minutes later after Mixon again found the end zone, this time on a six yard pass from Jake Browning .
They extended their lead early in the second quarter. Browning found rookie Andrei Iosivas for a three yard touchdown before Evan McPherson made it 24 0 at halftime with a 45 yard field goal. Before the end of the third quarter, the Bengals made it 31 0, with Browning and Iosivas connecting again, this time from seven yards out.
The Browns finally got on the board midway through the fourth quarter, as Jeff Driskel found David Bell for a 31 yard touchdown to make it 31 7, and they would connect again a few minutes later for a 24 yard touchdown. Offensive spotlight: The Bengals found success both through the air and on the ground in the win today.
Jake Browning finished the game having gone 18 for 24 for 156 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Running back Joe Mixon had one of his best showings of the year, averaging 7.9 yards per carry on 14 carries and turning his only reception of the day into a touchdown. Defensive spotlight: Cincinnati’s defenders found the football all game long.
Linebacker Logan Wilson and rookie safety Jordan Battle both recorded an interception. At the same time, Battle, Mike Hilton , Germaine Pratt , DJ Turner II , Cam Sample and Joseph Ossai all had either a pass breakup or batted pass. Rookie spotlight: A career day from sixth round rookie wide receiver Andrei Iosivas will leave Bengals fans excited about a potential expanded role for the former Princeton standout in 2024.
