First Secretary Sneha Dubey of the Indian Mission to the UN, in a scathing rebuttal, excoriated Pakistan for its 'shameless' record, directly invoking its notorious past of sheltering al-Qaeda founder Osama bin Laden.

'It is a country that has sheltered Osama bin Laden in a safe haven and has glorified him as a martyr here, sitting in the UN,' Dubey declared, her words echoing the indignation felt by many nations impacted by state-sponsored terror.

Sharif, in his earlier speech, had audaciously accused India of 'perpetrating countless atrocities' in Jammu and Kashmir and had attempted to position Pakistan as a victim rather than a perpetrator of terrorism.

Dubey pointed out the profound irony and hypocrisy of Pakistan’s stance: 'A country that claims to seek peace with its neighbours would never patronize cross-border terrorism, nor would it shelter planners of the horrific Mumbai terrorist attack.

The entire world has suffered because of Pakistan’s policies that foster global terror at home.' Her statement underscored India's consistent position that Pakistan operates as both an 'arsonist and a firefighter' in the global fight against terror.

Jammu and Kashmir, India reaffirmed, 'was, is and will always be an integral and inalienable part of India.' The First Secretary asserted that the Union Territory is subject to India's laws and governance, dismissing Pakistan's baseless claims over the region as futile and diversionary tactics.

She lamented that Pakistan had consistently misused the UN platform to propagate false and malicious propaganda against India, rather than addressing its own internal failings and commitment to terror groups.
