Ghatkopar Drunk Driving Horror: BMW Driver Critically Injures Man in Early Morning Crash

A horrifying incident unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, April 20, 2024, in Mumbai's Ghatkopar area, leaving a 60-year-old man in critical condition after being struck by a speeding BMW. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Anuj Subhash Thaker, was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, turning a routine morning into a nightmare for the victim and his family.

The victim, Ramesh Doshi, was reportedly walking near the Metro Mall in Ghatkopar when he was violently hit by Thaker's luxury vehicle.

The impact was severe, inflicting grievous injuries upon Doshi, who was immediately rushed to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu. According to medical reports, Doshi sustained a brain hemorrhage, multiple fractures across his body, and is currently battling for his life in the Intensive Care Unit, relying on a ventilator.

Anuj Subhash Thaker, the accused driver, was apprehended by the Ghatkopar police shortly after the incident.
