Dell just unveiled their next generation XPS laptops for 2024, designed using premium materials and powered by high-performance Intel Core Ultra chips, optimised for artificial intelligence. The 2024 Dell XPS range has a variety of models including XPS 16, 14, and 13, each number signifying the screen size. The 2024 XPS series veers towards minimalism in design, combining simple aesthetics with sturdy elements like machined aluminium and Gorilla Glass 3. Available in two shades of grey, Graphite and Platinum, these sleek devices provide a touchscreen option across the range. The XPS 13 is equipped with an FHD+ display and the series tops off with the XPS 16 that flaunts up to a 4K display.

On the performance front, each 2024 Dell XPS model slightly differs. The top-of-the-range XPS 16 provides up to an RTX 4070 GPU, whereas the XPS 14 caps at RTX 4050. Both models incorporate Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, with a maximum of Intel Core Ultra 9 chip in the XPS 16 and Core Ultra 7 in the XPS 14. The XPS 13, although starting at the lower end, comes with a Core Ultra 5 SoC.

Intel’s newest Core Ultra chips boast efficiency and power, being specifically designed for seamless processing of AI tasks offline and more efficient battery life, especially in comparison to Intel’s previously launched PC chips. Reportedly, Intel’s Core Ultra range operates 70% faster for generative AI tasks overall.

The 2024 Dell XPS series is priced at a starting point of $1,299 for the XPS 13, going up to $1,699 and $1,899 for XPS 14 and XPS 16 respectively. The new suite of devices is set to hit the market shortly.
