Billboard Is Music Sustainability Alliance’s Official Media Partner for February Climate Summit

Billboard has announced a significant partnership with the Music Sustainability Alliance to work on solutions addressing the climate change crisis that is increasingly impacting the music industry. The news, posters, and latest videos will be provided by Billboard, which is the official media partner for the first Music Sustainability Summit set to take place on Feb. 5 at the USC Campus in Los Angeles. The Summit, organized by the Music Sustainability Alliance, is a pioneering event addressing climate issues in the North American music industry.

"We are excited to join hands with the Music Sustainability Alliance to augment their crucial efforts in educating the music sector about climate initiatives," stated Dana Droppo, Billboard's Chief Brand Officer. She added that focusing on environmental issues was a way of protecting future generations of music lovers and artists and was eagerly looking forward to the sharing of ideas at the premiere Summit.

The Music Sustainability Alliance assists with science-driven solutions, operational change tools, best practice models, and business case evaluations across the music industry. Tickets for the day-long Summit, ranging from $25 to $200, are now available.

Amy Morrison, Music Sustainability Alliance's President and Co-founder, expressed her delight at collaborating with Billboard to promote significant climate initiatives in the music sector. She stated, “The Summit aims to be an annual event bringing together the MSA team, a wide array of stakeholders and new supporters."

The Summit will have a roster of speakers including industry leaders from various sectors such as Lindsay Arell, Maggie Baird, John Fernandez, Adam Gardner, Garrett Keraga, Cassie Lee, Michael Martin, Lesley Olenik, and Jake Perry. You can view the full program here.
