After Ariana Grande previously teased her next music album and gave a 'see you next year' hint to her fans just a few weeks back, the singer has now revealed her new single will be released on Friday, January 12. Grande announced her forthcoming track, titled "Yes, And?" on Instagram unveiling its cover art, an obscured close-up of her face. This marks the Pop star's first solo track since her 2020 release, 'Positions.' While she appeared on a few collaborative tracks like "Santa, Can’t You Hear Me" with Kelly Clarkson, Doja Cat’s “I Don’t Do Drugs,” and “Just Look Up” with Kid Cudi in 2021, her own music production was relatively silent for almost two years. During this time, Grande was filming the screen adaptation of the Wicked musical. However, throughout 2023, she periodically hinted at her seventh album, frequently sharing photos of recording studio sessions with her collaborators, including Ilya, a regular co-worker, and pop mastermind Max Martin. The singer had penned a reflection on a tumultuous yet fulfilling 2023 before welcoming the new year, stating, "One of the most transformative, most challenging, and yet happiest and most special years of my life.” She depicted her journey as a struggle between understanding herself and being misunderstood by others but concluded that she realized the importance of self-love and acceptance.
