With so many new games coming to Game Pass each month, Microsoft sadly has to purge some older titles to make way for the new. Games tend to stay in Game Pass for periods of 12, 18, 24, and sometimes 36 months or longer, and to give you an idea of what games to focus on before they potentially drop out of the service, we've delved into our data to produce a list of games that could leave Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in February.
12 months Most games that join Game Pass usually hang around for 12 months before they're given the boot. Here are all the games that joined in February 2023 that could also be up for the chopping block. Atomic Heart Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord SD Gundam Battle Alliance Hot Wheels Unleashed Cities: Skylines Remastered Darkest Dungeon Merge & Blade Soul Hackers 2 February 2023 was a pretty strong month for Game Pass, and it would be a shame to see some of these games go.
For those looking for something relatively quick to speed through, Shadow Warrior 3 can be completed in under eight hours. If you have a little more time, you may want to focus on SD Gundam Battle Alliance and Hot Wheels Unleashed, which have base achievement lists that can be completed in around 25 hours each.
Atomic Heart, Merge & Blade, Soul Hackers 2, Darkest Dungeon, and Cities: Skylines Remastered all have pretty lengthy completion estimates, so if you haven't started any of these yet, you will want to get a move on just in case they are yanked from Game Pass next month. Sadly, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord does have three unobtainable achievements and can't currently be completed.
18 months It's pretty uncommon, but games sometimes do leave Game Pass after a period of 18 months — see Disc Room and Garden Story for the most recent examples of this trend. The games listed below could leave Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass after joining the service back in August 2022. Opus: Echo of Starsong Full Bloom Edition Cooking Simulator Cooking Simulator (Windows) Offworld Trading Company (Windows) Turbo Golf Racing (Game Preview) Over 20,000 TA members have started Opus: Echo of Starsong – Full Bloom Edition, but only 120 have managed the completion here.
If you haven't yet delved into the visual novel style adventure game, you'll need to set aside around 20 hours for the completion. Turbo Golf Racing has a similar completion estimate of around 25 hours, but considering it's still in Game Preview, we think it's unlikely to leave the service next month.
As for Cooking Simulator, the Xbox console version currently sits with a discontinued achievement in its base list and three unobtainables in a single DLC list, so bear that in mind before starting. The Windows version can be completed without issue and easily if you're willing to use console commands.
Unfortunately, we don't have enough completion data to give you a completion estimate for Offworld Trading Company, so if you've managed to nab the 1,000G here, let us and the community know how long it took you in the comments. Two Ubisoft games also joined Game Pass in August 2022: Immortals Fenyx Rising and Ghost Recon Wildlands.
Considering we have yet to see a Ubisoft game leave after 18 months, we've decided not to include them here. 24 months Most games that joined Game Pass back in February 2022 have now left, but we have one that's still hanging in there. Could its time in Game Pass be up next month? Galactic Civilizations III (Windows) Galactic Civilizations III has been started by just over 1,000 tracked TA members, and unfortunately, we don't quite have enough data to give you an estimate on how long it will take you to unlock all of its achievements.
Looking at the three TA members who have managed the 1,000G, it looks like you'll need in excess of 100 hours for the completion. 36 months Next, we have the game that joined Game Pass in February 2021. It's possible that after 36 months, these titles could leave the service next month. Wreckfest Wreckfest (Windows) The excellent Wreckfest could be destined for the Game Pass scrapheap in February, so if you want to grab its completion, you're going to need to set aside around 25 hours.
You'll also need the same amount of time for the Windows stack of the game. As for new games coming to Game Pass , Microsoft recently confirmed the first batch of January additions , which includes Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Resident Evil 2. We've also had confirmation of four games leaving Game Pass soon .
