Video shows man jumping over bench to attack judge during sentencing

LAS VEGAS — A man being sentenced in Las Vegas was caught on camera leaping at a judge Wednesday morning. Deobra Redden had already entered a guilty plea to aggravated battery with substantial bodily harm when Clark District Court Judge Mary Kay Holthus denied probation in his case, reportedly because of Redden's criminal history.

That’s when video captured Redden jumping at Holthus. In the video, you can see Redden leap over the bench while security guards work to bring the situation under control. Court security was able to eventually restrain Redden. Holthus and a marshal were injured in the attack. Additional charges are expected against Redden.
