Union Home Minister Amit Shah Directs AI-Powered Cloudburst Study Amidst J&K Flood Crisis

In a resolute move to address the escalating crisis in flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir, Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently concluded a high-stakes visit, chairing crucial review meetings in both Srinagar and Jammu. His primary directive: to accelerate relief operations, ensure seamless restoration of essential services, and infuse modern technology into the region's disaster management framework.

The minister's itinerary included comprehensive assessments of the relief efforts underway across the Kashmir division, Chenab Valley, and the Jammu division – areas that have borne the brunt of relentless rains and devastating cloudbursts.

During his interactions with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary, and other senior officials, Shah underscored the imperative of providing immediate and substantial assistance to those displaced and affected by the unprecedented deluge.

A cornerstone of Shah's visit was his visionary call for an advanced, AI-based study specifically designed to predict and mitigate cloudburst phenomena.
