UFC Vegas 84 video: Jim Miller calls for Paul Felder or Matt Brown at UFC 300 after nasty face crank submission win

Jim Miller wants to make sure nobody ever catches up to him when it comes to the most fights and the most wins in UFC history. He extended both streaks at UFC Vegas 84 after Miller tapped out Gabriel Benitez with a nasty face crank in the third round to secure his 26th win in his 43rd overall fight in the octagon.

Miller had already destroyed Benitez’s legs with kicks before taking the fight to the ground where he wrapped up the submission with the end coming at 3:25 in the third round. “I messed my shin up over 10 years ago the first time I fought Joe Lauzon . Once it got hardened up, I could kick a steel post and it wouldn’t hurt me now. I knew I could win that leg kick battle.” There were actually nasty leg kicks being thrown from both Miller and Benitez in the opening round with the lightweights looking to chop each other down.

Benitez did a good job extending out with a well timed lead jab while Miller kept threatening with the kicks including a head shot that nearly landed flush. Miller really started putting some pop behind his shots including some stiff punches that landed with a sickening thud, although Benitez just kept marching forward.

The kicks were also chipping away with a huge amount of bruising on Benitez’s lead leg. Miller eventually brough the fight down to the canvas and he advanced to take the back as he began searching for a potential submission. Time ran out before Miller could secure anything but the momentum was definitely on his side.

While Miller was wearing some damage on his face, he was still doing a lot more offensively throughout the fight. The leg kick assault also continued and that slowed Benitez down enough that it allowed Miller to easily slip inside for another takedown. From there, Miller quickly advanced his position and he had no intention of allowing Benitez to get up again.

Miller couldn’t quite sink in the choke but he did latch onto the face crank that allowed him to twist the head back in a very uncomfortable position, which forced Benitez to tap. It was another stunning performance from the 40 year old veteran, who is now a remarkable 5 1 in his past six fights. Following this latest win, Miller wasted no time turning his attention to UFC 300 after already scoring wins at UFC 100 and UFC 200 .

He even has some ideas about possible opponents for the historic card on April 13. “UFC 300 is coming up,” Miller said. “I got three months to heal up and stay in shape and stay ready. Paul Felder , I think that would be a fun fight. I’ve got the most finishes at lightweight. Matt Brown , I would love to go up to 170 fight the guy with the most knockouts in UFC history.

The name got thrown out there, if the purse is big enough, Brock Lesnar , I want you at UFC 300!”.
