Two gang members charged in brazen Surrey shooting: RCMP

Article content Two men have been charged with a slew of offences after a brazen shooting in the Surrey community of Guildford last Friday. According to Surrey RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Tammy Lobb, police were called to the area of 101 Avenue and 156 Street in the afternoon of Dec. 29 with reports of shots fired.

Lobb said that two suspects fled the scene in a blue Range Rover and were pursued by police. “While officers were attempting to stop the vehicle, one of the suspects allegedly pointed a firearm at a police officer,” Lobb said. “With assistance from Surrey Traffic Services, Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Services, Air 1 and Langley RCMP, the two suspects were arrested in the area of 198 Street and 57 Avenue in Langley.” Lobb said that Roman Arinder Gill, 24, has been charged with discharge of a firearm, assault of a police officer with a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Shaun Narinder Gill, 28, is Lobb said that both men are known to police and linked to the continuing B.C. gang conflict. They remain in custody..
