Twin Bomb Threats Rock Delhi and Bombay High Courts, 'Hizbullah' Claims Responsibility

In a deeply unsettling series of events, both the Delhi and Bombay High Courts were rattled by bomb threats received via email, mere hours apart on the same day. The alarming incidents triggered immediate, high-level security responses across both judicial premises, though thankfully, no suspicious devices or materials were found following extensive searches.

The first threat targeted the Delhi High Court.

An email, sent at approximately 10:49 am, was addressed directly to the Registrar General. It contained a chilling claim of an explosive device hidden within the court premises. This prompted swift action from security personnel, including the Delhi Police, who conducted thorough checks of the entire complex.

Simultaneously, the Delhi Police's Cyber Cell initiated an investigation to trace the origin of the malevolent email.

Just a short while later, around 11:30 am, the Bombay High Court in Mumbai received a similar menacing email. This message, addressed to the Chief Justice, also asserted the presence of a bomb within its building.

Mumbai Police, along with their specialized units, quickly cordoned off areas and commenced a meticulous search operation, ensuring the safety of all present.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, both emails bizarrely claimed responsibility from an unknown group identifying itself as "Hizbullah." While the authenticity of this claim is under intense scrutiny by intelligence agencies and law enforcement, it has undoubtedly heightened concerns.

The content of these emails also ominously extended its threats to include the Supreme Court and other High Courts across the nation, indicating a potentially wider, coordinated attempt to disrupt and instill fear within India's judicial system.

These latest threats are not isolated incidents.

They follow a disturbing pattern of similar hoaxes that have recently targeted critical infrastructure and public institutions across India. In recent months, numerous airports, hospitals, and educational institutions have also been subjected to identical email-based bomb threats, all of which ultimately proved to be false alarms after comprehensive security checks.

Authorities are now working to determine if there is a connection between these various threats and the individuals or groups behind them, emphasizing the need for robust cyber security measures and vigilant public awareness.
