Tragic Discovery: RCMP Launches Major Investigation into Suspicious Death on Saskatchewan Highway

Saskatchewan RCMP's Major Crime Unit has initiated a comprehensive investigation into the suspicious death of a 22-year-old Saskatoon man, Brett Klassen, who was found critically injured on Highway 312 near Rosthern this past Sunday morning.

The alarm was raised around 9:05 a.m. on Sunday when emergency services were called to a section of Highway 312, located east of Rosthern.

Responding officers discovered a male, later identified as Klassen, suffering from severe injuries. He was immediately transported to hospital, but tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Following the discovery, the RCMP swiftly moved to treat the incident as a suspicious death. The Major Crime Unit has since taken the lead in the investigation, working diligently to piece together the circumstances that led to Klassen's death.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday to determine the exact cause of death and gather crucial forensic evidence.

Investigators are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have seen Brett Klassen in the early hours of Sunday morning, specifically between midnight and 9:00 a.m. They are also appealing to the public for any information regarding suspicious activity observed on Highway 312, east of Rosthern, during that critical timeframe.
