We’re one week deep into 2024 and so far, it’s been a pretty good year—though the jury’s still out.

Early days and all that jazz. It’s very cold here. We had a decent snow storm but mostly it’s just frigid and icy with lousy road conditions and enough wind to get the windchill down to 10. All I want to do is sit inside and drink coffee. Alternatively, I could use a nice beach. That sounds pretty great right about now.

It’s been so long since I’ve been at a beach or even seen the ocean that it’s starting to take on a bit of a dreamlike quality. I shall have to remedy that!
