The Sacred Return: Yogi's Plea for Buddha's Relics to Grace Kapilvastu

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a deeply significant appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, advocating for the return of the sacred Kapilvastu Buddha relics to their ancient home in the Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. Inside this casket lay not just bone fragments, but also an inscription identifying it unequivocally as the 'receptacle of the relics of Lord Buddha (Sakya) (the exalted one).' While a portion of these sacred relics was generously shared with the King of Thailand, a significant collection remains within India, carefully preserved in the National Museum, Delhi.
