Police have arrested a suspect they say fatally shot a man steps from his Bronx home last month. Daniel Santos, 22, was nabbed Wednesday for the , according to cops. David, 34, was outside an apartment building on Carpenter Ave. near E. 221st St. in Williamsbridge when he was shot around 3:35 a.m., police said.
Three men dressed in black fled the scene, they added. Medics rushed David to Jacobi Medical Center, but he could not be saved. He was killed months after he was conditionally released by parole after nearly two years behind bars for a Bronx conviction for assault and menacing a police officer, records show.
Santos was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in the victim’s death. His arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court was pending Wednesday evening..
