Suspect arrested following Walkerville armed robbery

Article content Windsor police have arrested a 35 year old man in relation to an armed robbery in Walkerville. Just before 1 a.m. on Boxing Day, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a residence in the 1000 block of Moy Avenue. Officers learned the suspect had approached a person in the alley as he was trying to get into his vehicle.

The suspect threatened the person with a firearm and a knife and stole the person’s vehicle, police said. No one was physically injured. Through investigation, police identified the suspect. He was arrested on Saturday at a residence in the 900 block of Gladstone Avenue. A 35 year old is charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, pointing a firearm, uttering threats to cause death, operating a vehicle while prohibited, and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.
