“Before my injury, I hated sports and I sucked at basketball. People would tell me I was tall for no reason,” Macias remembered. The holiday campaign, sponsored by the Bay Area News Group, provides relief, hope and opportunities for East Bay residents by helping raise money for nonprofit programs in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Donations will help provide instructor payments for 150 in person and online fitness classes, providing 2,000 hours of fitness for individuals with physical and vision disabilities.
