SAU Rocked by Sexual Assault Allegations: Warden, Staffer Suspended Amidst Outrage

New Delhi is gripped by fresh revelations of a harrowing sexual assault at the esteemed South Asian University (SAU). The institution has been plunged into controversy following a complaint filed by a female PhD student alleging sexual assault by a university staffer within the confines of her hostel.

The incident, which reportedly took place on May 19, has ignited a firestorm of protest and condemnation.

In a swift, albeit belated, response to the grave allegations, the SAU administration has announced the immediate suspension of the hostel warden and the accused staffer, who served as a caretaker.

An FIR has been formally registered under stringent sections of the Indian Penal Code: 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
