Kiko Live, a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform for local shops, has become a seller network participant in the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). Originally created to help neighbourhood retailers handle delivery orders via phone and WhatsApp, Kiko Live's inclusion in the ONDC network allows it to reach a wider customer base and offer a greater product range to buyers. The company is gradually integrating its retailer partners into the ONDC network due to a significant rise in orders, some already noticing a daily increase of 20 to 25 orders without additional promotions. Kiko's founder, Alok Chawla, noted the company's rapid growth rate, boasting near 100% fill and delivery success rates. Kiko Live’s platform helps sellers tap into a large pool of potential customers and offers integrated payment and local logistics solutions. Over the coming quarters, the company intends to aid over 50,000 new sellers, particularly those new to online selling, to join the network. Household goods company Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) plans to help almost 1.3 million smaller retailers join ONDC to compete with e-commerce and quick service grocery outlets. "Kiko's success contributes to the dynamism and success of our network," said ONDC's CEO, T Koshy. Early-stage investors in Kiko Live include 9 Unicorns, Venture Catalysts, SOSV, and GSF, along with angel investors like the CEOs of Indiamart, Spotify India, and Nazara.
