Rohit adds another T20I world record to his name with 150th appearance for India

Listen to Story Rohit Sharma has created history with his appearance in the second match against Afghanistan as he became the first men's cricketer to play 150 T20Is on Sunday. Rohit, who was absent from the shortest format of the game in the international level for 14 months, made his return to the team during the first T20I in Mohali where he captained the side as well.
Rohit would win the toss and opted to field first in the match. The Indian skipper had a horrible day with the bat as he was run out for a duck after a mix up with Shubman Gill. However, India would end up winning the match comfortably. . The Indian opener is followed by Paul Stirling of Ireland when it comes to most appearances in the shortest format of the game.
Stirling has played 134 matches so far in his career. His Ireland teammate George Dockrell is third on the list with 128 matches to his name. When it comes to appearances for India in T20Is, Rohit is followed by Virat Kohli, who has 116 matches under his belt. Kohli is also making his return to the T20I side after a 14 month hiatus.
Rohit has been one of the best in the world when it comes to the shortest format of the game and his career has been filled with many records in T20Is. Having made his debut in T20Is during India's victorious 2007 World Cup campaign in South Africa, the Indian opener is joint highest when it comes to hundreds in the format with four.
Rohit also has hit the most sixes in T20Is with 182 to his name. The Indian opener is also second on the list for most runs scored in the format with 3853 to his name. Only Kohli is ahead of Rohit on the list..
