It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin M. Hoffman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, who departed this life on May 29, 2024, at the age of 60. Born in Allentown, Kevin’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with deep loyalty, a generous spirit, and an infectious zest for life that left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His sudden departure leaves a profound void, but his memory will forever be cherished as a beacon of warmth and unwavering love.
Kevin’s journey began on February 24, 1964, in Allentown, a cherished son to Marilyn (Walz) Hoffman and the late Kenneth G. Hoffman. He was a proud graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1982, where he cultivated friendships that would last a lifetime.
Following his education, Kevin answered the call to serve his country with honor and courage, enlisting in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer. His dedication to service continued beyond the military, as he embarked on a distinguished career as a corrections officer for Northampton County, where his compassion and integrity shone through.
Most recently, he contributed his skills and commitment to the City of Allentown Bureau of Wastewater, always giving his best to his community.
Beyond his professional life, Kevin was a man defined by his passions. An avid outdoorsman, he found profound peace and joy in nature. Whether he was casting a line while fishing, tracking through the woods on a hunting expedition, or simply enjoying the tranquility of his beloved cabin in Potter County, he was truly in his element.
He was also a fiercely devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, celebrating every victory and enduring every defeat with unwavering loyalty, a true testament to his steadfast spirit.
However, above all his passions, Kevin's greatest treasure was his family. He shared a beautiful and enduring bond with his loving wife, Cindy (Kuehner) Hoffman, a partnership built on mutual respect and profound affection.
He was a devoted father to his children, Kyle Hoffman, and his wife Jessica, and Sarah Hoffman, guiding them with wisdom and boundless love. The arrival of his cherished granddaughter, Penelope, brought an unparalleled joy into his life; he adored her completely, and their moments together were filled with laughter and tender affection.
Kevin’s love extended to his mother, Marilyn, his brother Kenneth A. Hoffman, and his sister Karen Seibert and her husband Rick, along with several nieces and nephews, and his faithful canine companion, Murphy, who was always by his side. He was predeceased by his father, Kenneth G. Hoffman, and his brother, Gregory S.
Hoffman.
Kevin will be remembered for his incredible generosity, always willing to lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. His big heart and infectious laugh were hallmarks of his character, brightening every room he entered and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a loyal friend, a committed colleague, and an extraordinary family man whose presence will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to be part of his life.
A Memorial Mass to celebrate Kevin’s remarkable life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at St.
