Ram Mandir consecration ceremony to be live telecast at New York's Times Square

The upcoming consecration ceremony of Shri on January 22 will be broadcasted live not only throughout India but also on Time Square's jumbotron in New York City, according to India Today's report on Sunday. Additionally, the much-anticipated 'Pran Pratishtha' ritual of Ram Lalla will be streamed live at Indian embassies and consulates across the globe. Prime Minister is expected to address followers of Bhagwan Ram both domestically and internationally.
In August 2020, an image of Ram Mandir was displayed on a digital billboard at Times Square, celebrating the 'Bhoomi Pujan' of Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, which was marked by PM Modi.
A directive by the governing BJP has been issued to its members to install large screens to broadcast the ceremony of Shri Ram. ANI reported this move is intended to enable the general public to witness Shri Ram Lalla's consecration. ANI also reported that party members could take initiatives like distributing blankets, holding community feasts, or helping the needy by donating food or fruits.
The rituals for the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla are due to start on January 16, a week ahead of the main event. A handpicked 51 inch tall Krishna Shila idol of Lord Ram, symbolizing divinity, royalty, and pure childhood innocence, will play a substantial role in the upcoming Pran Pratishtha event. The ceremonies on January 22 in Ayodhya will be presided over by Varanasi priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit.
The events will include a large 1008 Hundi Mahayagya, aiming to feed thousands of devotees. To accommodate the expected crowds, a multitude of tent cities are being set up in Ayodhya. The Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust is gearing up to welcome between 10,000 and 15,000 attendees at the grand ceremony. Livemint at present ranks as the speediest expanding news site globally.
