The Portland Winterhawks game scheduled for Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Coliseum due to the winter storm, the team announced. “Due to the fact that both teams and game officials are unable to make it to the VMC by game time, tonight’s contest has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date,” the team said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
A winter storm pummeled Oregon on Saturday, with high winds and blowing snow. TriMet canceled all MAX service, which serves the Rose Quarter, and the Oregon Department of Transportation and other officials asked people to stay off the roads for safety. Ticketholders for the game against the Seattle Thunderbirds can use them at the rescheduled game or transfer them to Pride Night, which would have been Saturday but was rescheduled earlier in the day to Feb.
2. Fans should contact customer service to arrange a transfer. Details of the rescheduled game will be announced once finalized, the team said..
