PM Modi Sends Heartfelt Birthday Wishes to Delhi CM Rekha Gupta

New Delhi – On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked the birthday of Delhi’s chief minister, Rekha Gupta, with a warm post on the social‑media platform X. In his short, yet sincere note, the Prime Minister highlighted Gupta’s “commendable” efforts to boost Delhi’s progress and make everyday life easier for its residents.

“Birthday wishes to Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta Ji. Her efforts to boost Delhi’s progress and further ‘Ease of Living’ for the people are commendable. Praying for her long life and good health,” Modi wrote, adding a prayer for her continued well‑being.

The message was part of a larger chorus of birthday greetings from senior BJP leaders. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, for instance, posted, “Warm birthday wishes to Delhi Chief Minister Smt. @gupta_rekha Ji. She is working with dedication for the development and welfare of the citizens of Delhi. May she continue her efforts… Wishing her good health, happiness and a long life.”

Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister, Yogi Adityanath, also chimed in, invoking Lord Shri Ram in his wish: “Heartfelt birthday greetings to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Delhi, Mrs. Rekha Gupta Ji. I pray that you attain excellent health, long life, and a glorious life.”

Delhi ministers were quick to echo the sentiment. Parvesh Verma wrote, “Under your leadership, may the resolve to build a developed, prosperous, clean, safe, and self‑reliant Delhi continually reach new heights… May your dedication to public service continue to bring happiness, prosperity, and confidence into the lives of the residents.”

Similarly, Kapil Mishra wished, “May Lord Mahadev’s abundant grace always remain upon you. Under your leadership, may Delhi continue to progress and keep realizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat.’”

Rekha Gupta, now serving as Delhi’s ninth chief minister, represents a significant political shift – the Bharatiya Janata Party’s return to power in the national capital after almost thirty years. Her tenure so far has been marked by an emphasis on infrastructure upgrades, better public services, and a push for a cleaner, safer city.

While the birthday wishes may have been brief, the underlying message was clear: Party leaders across the country are rallying behind Gupta, hoping her administration can keep the momentum going and turn Delhi into a model of development and citizen‑centric governance.
