Pat Perez’s wife, Ashley, files for divorce from LIV golfer

LIV Golf pro Pat Perez and his wife, Ashley, had been one of the most colorful couples in golf, but appear to be headed for a split. Ashley Perez filed for divorce in Maricopa County (Ariz.) Superior Court in November, as first reported by the website Bro Bible . The outlet discovered the filing after observing that the couple had removed photos of each other from their respective Instagram pages, though some older shots of the couple together do remain on Ashley’s page.

Pat Perez, 47, was served the divorce papers less than a week after the filing. The couple shares two children together. The divorce has not yet been finalized. In 2022, Ashley Perez ripped detractors of Pat’s decision to leave the PGA Tour for LIV Golf . “So if anybody feels the need to say anything and I mean anything negative about Pat going to the LIV Tour, you will be blocked,” Ashley Perez said in a video on Instagram Live.

I won’t miss you. This new tour is going to be ICONIC.” Later, Ashley Perez would take a potshot at a wine trip that PGA Tour pros Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele took with their wives, commenting, “I’m sorry. That doesn’t look like fun…. At all,” adding a “zzz’s” for good measure.

Most recently, Ashley reportedly commented on Instagram that she “would absolutely love to watch Rory (McIlroy) get punched in the face” during the European golfer’s Ryder Cup feud with Cantlay’s caddie, Joe LaCava.
